This book offers a new approach to the study of the school and training system of the great nineteenth-century Danish choreographer August Bournonville. It presents fifty school exercises, selected and reconstructed from the notations of Hans Beck (Bournonville's successor), which he made in 1893, and are preserved in the Copenhagen Theatre Museum.
